This dear old fella is getting a little old and his memory is starting to get a bit hazy At 36 it looks like it might soon be time for him to join Oganach, and that means one thing - his first son, Lord Adalbert, will soon become the Lord of Families!

How do I enter?

• Complete a character profile for Adalbert or Yarrow using the TWI Character form found on the How to Get a Fawnling journal
• Submit said profile to sta.sh
• Submit your sta.sh link to this Google Form before 01/02/2017 (that's the First of February 2017 for Americans )

Yes, for certain!

• Adalbert is a traditional Lord - no hippies here!
• He is currently 26 years old (born in Year 740 of the New Age) and is dark of coat - but no other information exists for him at present
• IF YOU WOULD LIKE A YOUNGER CHARACTER - Adalbert's son, Yarrow, is 14 years old at present. Instead of bidding for Adalbert, you may bid for Yarrow instead! If A bid for Yarrow wins, an accident will sadly befall Adalbert before Gerald passes, meaning that Yarrow will become the next Lord of Families
• Remember though! Adalbert has been the Heir of Families since Year 751, so he has 15 years experience looking after the Tree of Princesses and reciting the Princess Line - Yarrow has none of this experience, and may struggle with his role without having had all that practice!
• The Lord of Families (as Adalbert will soon become) is a 'Servant-Lord' position - although he is a Lord, Adalbert is subservient to the 'true' Royals
• The Lord of Families has a fair bit of political power! As he looks after the Tree of Kings, he could potentially discretely crop and prune to shape the history of Glenmoer to his liking... or the liking of a political ally...
• Along with that power comes responsibility! The Lord of Families traditionally advises the King on Princess betrothals, recommending suitable Lords whose standing matches that of the Princess in question. However, please remember that the Lord of Families does not actually decide who Princesses get wedded to This decision is officially down to the King - but in reality, it's down to the Princess's owner
• No member of the House of Families would ever take a Princess as his mate - this is above their station and would be seen as bribery by the King!
• Gerald is a community character meaning he can be used by anyone in any RP - it is up to you whether Adalbert/Yarrow will be a community character but I would ask that you keep them as open to RPs as possible!
