P.s. Definitely try painting landscapes en plein air! I have never done this due to my ability to draw being dependent on a certain mood being present, and its arrival is unpredictable. If you have the attention and concentration to be creative in an exposed area you should certainly take advantage of it, I think it could be a rare gift.
I just find painting relaxing - I don't think it's really a very creative thing for me at all Well, I guess it has to be a bit creative, but it's more therapy than a grand creative moment I think. And the beach relaxes me too, so sitting on the beach painting the beach will probably be supreme relaxation for me. I might give it a go this weekend
I hope you get better hun! I bet getting soaked in the rain did nothing to help it. Go home and tuck yourself up in bed with a hot cup of tea. <3 Also in regards to the sub renewal, I wonder if old journal entries will keep their skins? So even if you were un-subbed you could at least keep your pretty journals by re-using the old entries. If this is the case, I probably won't bother to renew my sub when it runs out. It was nice to have polls and thumbnails, but otherwise most of the features I never used once.
The rain did not help at all. Nor did sitting around in soaking wet clothes for a further hour before I could go home xP I'm feeling a lot better now though, probably still not quite 100% but nearly there! From what I understand the journals keep the skins so long as you don't edit them. If you edit them, the skin disappears. I got a free week's sub from dA a few years ago as a 'gift' (I think it was to tempt you into purchasing a sub back then xP) and when I went back and edited one of the journals I'd written then when it expired, the skin disappeared. Which was a bit poo.
Aw man that sucks. Oh well, who needs fancy journal skins anyway! *humph!* Wow I'm the opposite to you; I avoid going to the beach at all costs, and painting is (usually) a tense process for me which involves trembling hands and colourful profanity. But I still enjoy it in a sadistic sort of way
Oh my gosh, I certainly hope your sickness gets better! My brother is diabetic, so I (sort of) know what it's like to be throwing up and having to keep your blood sugar up at the same time. :/ My trainer's farrier actually had the same thing going on (he's diabetic too) and he ended up in the hospital in really bad condition, but thankfully he's alright. I'm glad to hear that your case isn't as bad as that!
Your kittens are so adorable, which is the brother and which is the sister? That last picture is just darling, those eyes are just irresistable, haha!
I was a bit worried I might be that bad towards the end of Monday (pretty much got home and passed out on the sofa under a blanket) but thankfully the rest seemed to do me some good so no hospital for me - hooray! I'm glad to hear your trainer's farrier is ok - it's always horrible being in hospital for somthing you know a regular person would be ok for.
And thank you! The fluffy ginger (Wedge) is the brother and the shorter haired tortoiseshell (Biggs) is the sister. That picture was (I think) the day they got home, when they could both still fit on my lap together!
Aww, yeah naps can work wonders for those times when you're sick! My sick days are mostly spent on my nice couch in the living room, under a thick comfy blanket, haha. :3 I certainly wish you a speedy recovery!
It's funny because Biggs looks just like my friend's cat! She's a female tort, but with a bit more orange on her. Both of yours are really cute, I like Wedge's twirly pattern, haha.
Wedge has a really interesting tabby-type pattern, I think. He's all pretty Biggs has very little orange - that bit on her face and some on her neck are the only really big orange bits on her, the rest is all mottled into her black
I dunno how diabetics do it you know I'm so forgetful and unorganised. Let alone when I'm ill and cba with anything!! poor you! I hope you feel 100% now though. Blargh sickness, awful having to work on it. I too am addicted to subs! I managed to double up on mine at xmas when they did a buy one get one free. I always get mine at xmas when I have the spare cash and if I don't have it around xmas then I can wait a few days before xmas monies go in the bank. Ahhhh the kittens, they do grow up so fast :') MOAR PICS PLZ Yaaaaaay text rp hahaha
Ugh, it sucks to be sick w/ diabetes. I feel your pain. I hope you feel better soon. Also: paint those landscapes.. Do it! I personally would like to see! Also also: I know how you feel with the subs. It has gotten to where I almost have to have one now, because I'm running three groups and admining for a few more. So no more unpaid dA for me. I do think it is worth it though, for the maintenance of my groups and thumbs and no adds. Lovely. So I'll probably fork out the cash when my current one runs out.
I'll probably get a year sub in the next few weeks. Just need to chat to boyf about the money-wasting thing, but hopefully we can work something out (ie, he can buy some of the stuff I always buy ) so I can have my add free DA. I feel a lot better today, but still not 100%. I think Matt had the same thing and he said he felt alright within about 6 hours - for me it was about 36 XP And I might pop down to the beach one weekend soon and splash a bit of paint about
Yay! (And congrats on a bf named Matt.. my hubby is named Matt as well, so I approve.) That always happens with me as well - Matt gets something in the morning and is over it my dinner time, and then I get it and am bed-ridden for three days.
All the best boyfriends/partners/husbands are called Matt in my experience Of my group of friends four of us have a Matt. I think it's a diabetic thing - I keep getting told I'm not more likely to get sick, which I think is probably true. It's just when I am sick I'm much sicker than everyone else seems to get xP
