The shipwreck

Description

Late Summer, year 742 of the New Age, Oakfern, the beach by The Shoals

I am waaaay late to the whole 'draw your fawnling as a baby' think xD

But this is also an RP image 8D Explaining how Linna found her beads (seen in every other picture of her :D)

So, if you don't want to read the story - the fawnling in the background is Linna's mother, who was an Oakfern scout. She was pretty old when she had Linna (23) and is (in current time) sadly deceased.

So, I know that humans haven't discovered the Western Isles.. doesn't mean they can't have had a shipwreck with all hands lost there, does it? :XD:

Story is a bit rubbish :(

DERP TOTALLY FORGOT - Reference used for Linna's pose because I wasn't feeling it - [link]

"Careful, Lineera. The stranger smell is strong here," the golden doe murmured softly.
Her pale fawn looked up at her, huge green eyes curious and full of light. Her great bat-like ears were fixed on her mother's face, listening intently, but it would only take the slightest rustling, or splashing, or anything that could be unusual to turn the baby's head away and send her charging off along the beach.
"You should stay close to me," Eisett said, trying to raise her voice slightly, to give it a firm edge - but who exactly was she kidding? The reason she was a scout was because she was curious and she was quick - but most of all because she was extremely quiet. So far, she seemed to have passed that on to her daughter - her newest fawn remained all but silent throughout the majority of time together, only now and then calling her attention with a firm but quiet 'Mother, look,' before returning to her typical silent, curious watchfulness.

Eisett had brought her here because of the strange smell. Which might seem dangerous and stupid, but she trusted her little fawn, and as a scout it was her responsibility to keep the herd lands safe from any invasion. As they stepped out on to the beach, however, it became obvious that this was a very strange invasion indeed. A tree seemed to be sprouting from the sea, and near it a strange rounded pyramid of.. what was it made of? The scent of the sea was too strong to really scent it, but there was a vague smell of pitch and burning wood. Scattered across the shoals were strange shapes floating and bobbing in the water - wooden? Certainly the ones that were close enough to see clearly were wooden. This was an important thing, a very important thing!

"I must tell the Captain at once," she murmured, and was about to turn heel and charge back towards the tunnels when she realised that her fawn was no longer by her side.

"Lineera!" the doe called, a sudden panic washing over her. Her newest fawn, gone so soon? But.. no - the little pale shape was only a few hundred yards away on the sand. "Lineera, we must return! Come back here!" the doe called - to no avail.

Sighing with frustration, she canted towards her youngling, only to find her poking at some new, even stranger thing..

"Look, mother! They roll!"
