Messed about with perspective and motion in this one 
I know I should've really painted the blurring myself, it would've looked much nicer than the photoshop blur, buuuut I didn't have time 
Would've added easily another three hours onto this picture that I needed for doing the show jumping one 
And I know Charlie's helmet has no chin strap. I am fail.
Moony and Charlie again, again in =Baringa-of-the-Wind's BMET Three Day, this time cross country. Story is a bit short and not very interesting. Sorry

Tom knew that Charlie had been under strict instructions from Marion to keep Moony steady and collected through her cross country run. She wasn't yet fit enough to really compete, so he wasn't supposed to gallop her and he must take the slow, safe routes on all ouf the fences. So far, everything seemed to be going to plan. Yesterday the dressage hadn't been spectacular but hadn't been dreadful and today the warmup seemed to be going fairly well.
Moony was, of course, her usual self: friendly, affectionate with anyone who chose to visit her and extremely flirty with any stallion she happened to cross paths with. If it weren't for the slight roundness about her belly and flanks you might be fooled into thinking that she hadn't had a foal at the beginning of the year.
It might've been because of her normalness that Charlie seemed to be having trouble collecting the mare when they left the start box. Tom was watching on the screens in the competitors' area - Jemima was probably somewhere around, either moping or riding Punk, he wasn't really sure - and was increasingly confused by either the way Moony was ignoring Charlie's aids or the way Charlie was riding. With this pair it'd be difficult to guess which was actually happening, but when Charlie took the line to prepare for the short route through a nasty combination involving narrows and ditches, Tom groaned inwardly.
Moony, of course, took it all in her stride. Less than her stride actually - she skipped one out before the final part of the obstacle.

Don't be too hard on yourself about the art, I think it looks fab could do with smoothing out at the transition between sharp and blurry but overall it's still better than what I could be bothered to achieve
